Ixchel
A trendy Mexican in London, featuring wonderfully soft interiors, fantastic cocktails and delicious food. The interiors reminded me of an Ibicenco hotspot, with hypnotic beats enticing you to order another 3 varieties of margaritas from their extensive list.
The food was excellent; if you’re a food critic you may have taken umbrage with a slightly too fatty rib or the fact was the second we sat at our table we were told what time we had to leave (which also reminded me of many restaurants in Ibiza), but overall it was a fantastic place to watch an afternoon go by on a sunny day.
The starters were the star of the show, and I would recommend going with a group of friends and sharing everything. We were so satiated by the end of them we could only manage a few mains between us. My particular highlight was the Yellowish tuna tostada, which had the most delicious blend of acidity, sweetness to counteract the fatty tuna.
